End of Season Fly-in

Postby Hagar » Sat Oct 14, 2017 11:09 am

Finally! Some decent conditions for the last fly-in at Popham this year. 8-) All the regulars I spoke to agreed it was "just like the old days". :)

There must have been around 100 visiting aircraft on the airfield last Sunday. Unfortunately no room for them all in this thread.
Here's a few shots of some of the more interesting ones.

Although I do love what you put into your images Doug, I, like many, have my favs and I'm not apologising for my choices.....that Beech 18 is a wonderful photo pass capture, and I have an affinity for the little v-tail Davis. It was the subject of a nice little peanut scale free flight indoor rubber model......just needs a twinge more dihedral to help it's flight. Great stuff....thanks !

KK527 is a Fairchild Argus. Not too many of them in the UK.
There were inline & radial engined versions.

Looks like a cracking end of season fly in to me Doug,

The little Davis DA2 looks like a fun aircraft to fly & reminds me of the V Tail Mooney's.
