Campbell River Show and Shine

Postby Rifleman » Mon Jul 17, 2017 1:37 am

There was a local get together of cars (hot rods + restorations) and general aviation types at the Campbell River airport today.....nice to have access to a very large tie-down area and proximity to the taxi-ways. Here are a few which I might class as classics.......

Some lovely classics there. 8-)

B-25 Grumpy was based over here at Duxford until a few years ago. Good to see her still around. http://fighter-collection.com/cft/b-25-grumpy/

Interesting Doug,.....thanks for that info......today it was flown taking paying fares ($500 / half hour) I saw two flights both commanded by different PIC's.....one of them being a female.......the passengers were treated to a local flight over the snow capped mountains and a low level beat up of the main runway.......a stellar performance !

Looked like a lovely day out you had there, thanks for posting.  Can I ask what the aircraft is in the 4th picture, the low wing blue and polished aluminium.

Cheers

Ah thanks, the nose looked different from the Swifts that I have seen on the net, lovely looking plane. Aeroplane Heaven do a nice version. http://aeroplaneheaven.com/product_swift.php
