Qualicum Beach

Postby Rifleman » Sat Jul 08, 2017 8:26 pm

Got up a bit earlier than usual today to jump on the bike and take a run to Qualicum where they were holding a bit of a fly-in......nothing really special, but quite a good turnout for being on this remote tropical outpost just off the coast of western Canada....

Nice set Ken...

Hear you have a few wildfires over on the mainland.

They better get those Mars up and running.

Been raining hear just about every day...South end of Belleville flooded in parts along with both sides of the Trent River in Trenton.

Water Front Festival this weekend was really scaled back and the beautiful old trees along the Bay of Quinte.....many hundreds of years old toppled over as the water washed away the soil

Temp has been near or above 30 Celsius almost daily....won't even mention the humidity.
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Similar Wildfire problems in California following the disastrous flooding and imminent collapse of Lake Orville Dam after torrential rain a few weeks ago!

Weather is always full of surprises!... :o ....!

admittedly - I stole the tail number CFGJQ image for my weekly desktop image....you just can't trust people from around the lake, up the hump and down in the valley...but you won't find me there....look way south, and east with palm trees a nice breeze and an airport ICAO of KRSW.

Thanks for the pics... question - Do you know Alex Prodan (your name tag) Rifleman made me think you might...you'll know why if you do - he is my wife's Uncle.
