At the fly-in

I took a chance on the weather yesterday (Sunday) morning & nipped down to Popham for the fly-in. I wasn't disappointed.
Here's a few of the aircraft that turned up. I wonder how many you can identify.

1. Piper Pacer

2.Cessna 150

3.Red low-wing MAY be a FALCO or similar homebuilt.

4. Pitts Special aerobatic bi-plane

Interesting undercarriage on the Isaacs' Spitfire. Probably more forgiving than the more normal oleos.

Thanks for the info. on the Aero AT-3, it looks pretty good for cross-country. I left out the Pietenpol, and Stearman because they were not visible on your original photo. Why did you leave out the Pacer, Cessna 150 and Pitts? don't you like American airplanes or something?

Two reasons. There are 9 aircraft in the first photo. I had to leave some out due to the forum limit of 1,000 kb per topic* so I chose what I thought would be more interesting or hadn't posted before.

I have nothing against American aeroplanes. I had over 50 photos to choose from at an average file size of 150 kb & two of the five I posted are American types. The Porterfield is a very rare sight & G-AFZL is the only airworthy example in this country.

Out of that group, I suspect that the; "Streak Shadow G-BZWS" would be the most affordable aircraft to own and run, for the average; "poor" Pilot.... ...!

I like those small aircraft in my Flight Sims, for low level, low cost explorations!
