Air Mobility Command Museum, Part 5 C-119 Flying Boxcar

Compared to many of the larger transports, this one looks small from a distance, not very impressive.

But once near it, it looks much better. For whatever reason, I like this plane.

Fifteen yrs ago, while at the Flying Aces Nats in Geneseo NY, I took some shots of one of these relics. It got my attention due to the fact that in the late 50's and early 60's they could be seen flying overhead, out of the Air Force base at Downsview - Keele and Shepherd ...Toronto, where I was a kid....

I have that exact same "bucket" set up when I am simming :lol: :whistle:
