Spring is here

Postby Hagar » Tue Apr 14, 2015 2:35 am

It's been a while since I posted any photos. These were taken last Sunday at the Jodel fly-in at Popham, the first of the season.
Beautiful sunshine but a strong gusty wind kept a lot of visitors away. The event was well supported considering the conditions.

This is a rare sight. One of only two airworthy examples. I believe only 8 were built.

"Spring is sprung,
the grass is ris,
I wonder where the boidies is?".

Wonderful shots, Doug....
..General Aviation. My favourite types!

The lawn in my back garden is covered with all sorts of wild flowers, making it impossible to completely mow all the grass...
..I just cant bear to cut them all down...I'm not going to!!
They are looking wonderful...must take some photos, when the sun moves round!
I am lucky to be blessed with naturally growing wild flowers each spring and summer.

I am REALLY enjoying all this sunshine and warmth!!

Paul....bathing in a warm glow!.... :D ...!

Another fine set of quirky birds, Doug- thank you.
This spring is particularly welcome here, in my new home in the hills... last winter was absolutely brutal and relentless. The daffodils and bears sighted here recently have the right idea- just sleep through it!!

Thanks for the comments chaps. :)

Good to see you're still around Sean. After the rotten Summer last year I'm hoping this lovely weather will continue for a bit longer.

If anyone is interested, G-NACI is a Norman NAC-1 Freelance, one of only two built. The Davis DA2a is a US-designed homebuilt from the 1960s - followed by a nice Beagle Pup built at Shoreham Airport & finally Robin R3000 G-BOLU, one of the Jodel family of light aircraft.

RARE indeed!! This tiny Turbulent has a VW motor, wonder how many cubic centimeters but seems like a 1,600 cc
