This shot is from the 1997 Redding, Ca Airshow.

If you continue to be inspired by the Blue Angels, as I do, you would enjoy "Blue Angels: A Year in the Life". It's shot in HD and was originally shown on either Discovery or History Chanel as a 4-part series in 2005. It's not inexpensive at about $30 but, in my opinion, the best video ever of the Blue Angels because it is as much about what it takes to be a member of the team as it is about the flying. There are real life lessons that can be taken away from this production along with some of the most beautiful video of their very special flying skills ever shot. Truly awe inspiring in every way.

Unfortunately the oz dollar is worth crap against
the us dollar. I do have the miracle of flight which
is brilliant.

Most of my life I lived in Canada and saw the Blues
many times. I remember seeing them as a kid at the
Canadian international airshow at the CNE in Toronto,
back in the Fifties, when they flew the very elegant F-11
Tigers and the Tbirds F-100 Super Sabres.

In more recent years at the Abbotsford International in
BC.

Their close formation routines are incredible. Miss those
shows a lot. The Blue Angels,Tbirds and the Snowbirds.

Howdy all'

These shots are taken at the Redding 2009 airshow, unfortunately that was the year we had 40 fires in our county alone due to lightning strikes..........
Even from the Redding airport one can easily see both Mt Shasta and Mt Lassen....this was not the case the day of the show.

Enjoy

Thanks so very much for posting/sharing these pics of the Blue Angels! They are indeed an AWESOME team of U.S.A. Naval Aviators!

I, unfortunately, have never seen them in person. With my profound "tunnel vision"(Like what you might normally see through a drinking straw is all I can see anymore!) and when in the bright sunlight I experience "total whiteout blindness" due to having Ushet Syndrome, I might well just like to read up on the Blue Angels history, what it takes to become a BA member, etc. I would assume they have a website where we, at least, could order the video you all mentioned. With today's accessibility technology you all might be amazed at what I can and do read via refreshable Braille displays! ;)

Does anyone have a direct link to share maybe? I would like to read about the U.S.A. Air force Thunderbirds and the United Kingdom's (I believe they are and if I am wrong I deeply apologize for my mistake!) famous Red Arrows Team too!

I have so much admiration for pilots and you all as flight simmers really! Yes, I do fly FSX privately on my own PC and yeah,,,I do okay,,but nothing like you all probably can! Thus, I respect and admire you all too much as fellow flight simmers to "intrude or even attempt" a multiplayer Sim Flight session of any kind with my profound DeafBlindness! ;) ;)

But please keep the forums, your great posts, and sharing your pics when you have them, as they let me experience a little bit of what you all "see an/or experience" with Flight Sim and real world aviation alike!

Thanks so much everyone!
