One big ugly bird.......................But a bit like an ugly girl who has a great chest or legs................you just can't help but look.....

I came on to nights and found this parked on the ramp. She is waiting for the wing cracking mod to be carried out. I guess I have been in aviation too long as once up nice and close, the A380 did not seem all that big to be..........except the underside of the wing at the root, that was a lot of area..

Nice photos. Makes me wonder why I need a DSLR these days.

I've never considered the A380 to be uglier than any other jet airliner. I suspect that idea was encouraged by Boeing's publicity department.

The cameras on smart phones are good and getting better. But I did kick myself. My Nikon D7000 and tripod would have been a 1000% better. The one time I did not take the dam thing.......

Although I always carry my cheap-o Mobile Phone with me, (switched off!), for emergency calls to the Breakdown Service, in case my Motorbike breaks-down, the fact that I never use it otherwise, means that I always forget that it also contains a very useful; "digital camera" for taking pictures!

All this; "modern stuff", is leaving me far behind!

Well yes I suppose it does. It can only be parked on a weight approved section of the ramp...............
