Picture taken at La Ferté Alais 2014. This was the only plane that I couldn't identify.

Globe Swift. Great little airplane. Sometimes a little squirrely on the ground, famous for ground loops. However, VERY fun to fly. also referred to as a miniature Mustang.

Thanks Paul and jphespe for the info!
I was surprised of that small aircraft with retractable undercarriage.

If I recall the story right Ray Lopresti, the Mooney speed wizard, was involved in the design and later modifications. Besides being fun to fly, both real and sim, it was VERY fast. Later upgrades to airframe and engines really boosted performance.

It really is a beautiful classic design!
You can download Bill Lyons' brilliant Globe Swift from Flightsim.com, but tweaks need to be made to the VC windows using the Glove Swift 2 (updated model?); check this link:

For those who aren't familiar with Bill & Lynn Lyons' work, they created some of the very best seminal FS2002/4 models, including a great Tri-Pacer. They were ahead of their time, even the Globe's pilot and passenger have animated heads!
Exceptional stuff!
