Are you
sure that's not a float-plane base??? Looks like one to me! That's not a ramp, it's a lake!
Lucky for me when I worked on a flightline, 1) the occurance or rain at all was a huge rarity, and even when it did rain, it was usually warm and evaporated in a few minutes...USUALLY!...and 2) I always had wings to hide under or hangars to hide
in. Then again, we always had plenty of warning too. The tower would call every squadron for those few rare occaisions when it would actually rain in any signifigant quantity. They were actually pretty good with lightning warnings too. Not as good as I was when I was the head wx prognosticator at the aerostat site, but still...I know, I'm too modest, but there it is...
Still a lovely picture. I love the smell in the air before, during and after a good rain. It's as though the world has been washed clean, without any detergent! Just pure, clean, fresh water...
