The Wilds of Alberta.....

Postby Rifleman » Sun Apr 21, 2013 11:42 pm

The wilds of Alberta........as I get a chance to shoot some on a Sunday afternoon.....

It was as if I was not even sitting in a blind and he never even knew I was there.....but I got the shot...........

If you are very quiet and don't disturb any little pebbles, you can sneak up behind one of these mountain goats before he even thinks to look behind himself, but you have to be ready to trip the shutter if he turns around. He'll be gone with one quick spring of those strong legs......

Did you ever have a bird notice you when you are so close, that you feel like he's going to attack and take a peck at your expensive lens.......woah.....

Hiding behind a tree is a great way to catch a bird on the wing as he lands. You just have to shoot before he notices you and decides against a full stop landing....

They don't need to be in a book Pete....they are well preserved for as long as they stay in the glass cases of the Royal Alberta Museum..... ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫
