And another victim of Bergen Airfield... most of the planes crashed north of this location

And the text on the plate... the flight engineer was the only one who could use his parachute. According to local legend parts of the parachute still survive as part of a lamp shade.

Hi Ivan,

Bergen as in not far from Venlo, Goch, and Weeze or is it a different Bergen. I visit this area once or twice a year.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Bergen airfield near Alkmaar in Northern Holland. It was used by the Luftwaffe during WWII. http://www.basher82.nl/Data/stompetoren/butain.htm

Bergen Airfield had Bf109s, FW109s and was a support field for Me110s.
They had a Ju-52 with magnetic ring minesweeper

Whole operation cleaned up in 1944
