The RNZAF Retired the Skyhawks in 2001 after they had a massive upgrade. The government at that time also cancelled the order for their replacement, the F-16.

The RNZAF operates 6 of these for maritime patrol.

The RNZAF operates 5 of these for use on the RNZN's ANZAC Class Frigates.

The RNZAF operates 5 of these with a proposed future purchase of three additional aircraft.

The RNZAF received 8 NH-90's in February 2012. Right now they are in the testing & evaluation phase.

They were only going to be on static display but the RNZAF Mechanics managed to get one flying for the Air Show.
