B-17 @ Nampa, Idaho

Postby BlackAce » Wed Nov 23, 2011 5:05 pm

Nampa Muni. is home to the War Hawk Air Museum, and they house two P-40's used in the movies "Peral Harbor" and "Valkyrie".  They had a flight from the Commemorative Air Wing from Mesa, AZ.  And these were the shots:

If you want to see more War Birds, trust me, I got plenty more to show!

Yeah, there beautiful birds, I was lucky enough to stand under it when it was landing at Nampa.  I couldn't get my camera out in time thought.  (The Nampa Airport is a little one strip, and two major rodes converge right there so the planes come in low, and its an awesome plane spotting spot for warbrids and whatever.)

They used to do a really good car show with the CAF at Falcon Field.

You should have had your mustang with the P-51 Mustang.

You don't get to pick which plane it's predetermined, but I have that one too

Talk about dating myself here --

Way back when I was a kid (in the Dark Ages LOL), Monogram came out with a 1/48 scale B-17G with the same tail markings, although I don't remember the Nose Art...

Great photos of some majestic airplanes, for sure! :D

I build models like that, I'll try and find one like that.  And I didn't get to see them go.  I was in school :'( But heard them fly over and got a gimps of the B-25.
