Good afternoon all... :)

Just a few shots from the Canadian AIR & SPACE Museum at the old Royal Canadian Air Force Station Downsview in Toronto, Ontario.

This is where DeHavilland of Canada developed many aircraft like the Beaver, Otter, Caribou etc also.

This museum is in one of the old RCAF Hangers and the other RCAF Hangers are now inside sports arenas.

The politicians want to close this museum and get rid of it forever so as to put in a new four pad hockey rink.

Here are a few shots of a full size replica of the CF-105 Arrow.
Some say there is still a real one missing...but we will never tell... ;)

A complete AVRO Lancaster in background which was used for maintenance training...

Not a good shot of the two engines but they were also designed in Canada

Weapons Bay was revolutionary along with the weapons which were designed here in Canada...

Thanks for these Doug, brings back memories of my time in Canada. Alas the Arrow was not built up when I was there.

I was just there over the summer, and I LOVE THE ARROW!! It is a great museum in Downsview Park, and the soundtrack when Bombardier are testing their planes.  Have you been to the one in Ottawa with the remains of 206 and 203?
