I have a Bushnell telescope 78-9960 and yesterday I got a T-ring and a mount for my Nikon D3000 to attach and take pictures of Stars, Moon, Airplanes, etc. , but I cant get my telescope to focus. It will focus to about 500 feet away but no more. Any one know what I can do?  :-/

It sounds line the problem is not the telescope focusing, but the distance the camera is from the telescope. Normally you will require a focusing tube between the T-adapter and the telescope. Something along the lines of this.

Chassis length not compatible... Depending on age it might be designed for K mount or M42 Pentax, which were quite common in the past

The age of what my camera or telescope because both are less than 2 years.

Also I have found that when I take off the part that connects to the telescope (pictures below) that it lets me focus further.
