An hour in a Heli

The guy's at Mercy Flight let me explore their Kawasaki-Eurocopter BK-117. :)

Lucky! ;D Once I tried getting over to see our local medical helicopters, but their excuse was "Since 9/11, we don't let people come back here." Or something like that.  >:( Anyway, our medical helicopters are a Bell 222 and an EC-135 operated my Mercy Air. In fact, just saw our 135 on the news today. They airlifted a little boy to the hospital who had been "accidentally" shot right above one of his eyes with an arrow by his twin brother.  :o

...one of my "ex's" did a one hour trial flight in a R22 helicopter last Monday at our local airfield, (EGBS Shobdon), as a 60th. birthday present from her Husband and our Children....
She loved it to bits....(the usual wide smile, from ear to ear!)...but I was amazed at the cost!.... :o....!
