Here are a few shots I took from the mountainside behind my brother's house. We packed a small cooler with some frosties and hiked up the mountain a bit to watch the lights of Vegas turn on.

A new city in the middle of an arid Desert!

P.S. More amazing information....;)...>>>

CSI (Las Vegas) is actually filmed in Santa Clarita, near Burbank Studios, Los Angeles..... ;)... ;)...!

The opening titles are just Helicopter shots of 'Vegas!

...and CSI (Miami) is filmed at Long Beach, Los Angeles.. ;)... ;).....Opening Titles, more 'Copter shots of Maimi!!.... ;D....!

I think its funny that when you were taking those pictures I may have actually been on the Strip.  If you look very closely at the Luxor (the pyramid), maybe you can see me waving!   ;D

When I look at all those houses in the photos, I wonder what all those Folks do for a living.
They cant all work in the "Strip", and there's not a lot of anything else in the depths of the Nevada desert, apart from Sand, Rattle Snakes, and Tumbleweeds!

Paul...every curious!... ;)... ;)...!

My nephew lives in one of those houses, he works for Brinks and picks up cash at several casinos.

Very cool set, especially Red Rocks... I wish I'd had time to venture outside the city the one time I was there.
