A while back I had posted that I thought I saw an MI-24 fly over my work, and had since wondered

Im just guessing... but maybe because there is no type cert for it in the US?

Pilot told me that this is the only Hind currently flying in the US as well!

Maybe because of all the stickers at the switches and gauges???

Wonderful photographs! The Mi-24 is a particular favourite of mine. I was reading a little while ago (probably 8 months ago) that three Ukrainian Mi-24's (with a possible addition of two other Mi-24's) were up for sale at around 1.9 million USD. A little bit out of my price range I'm affraid...but I can imagine it raised many heads.

Not sure what I expected, but that panel looks nice and clean. 

That is my fav chopper, but after looking at the cock pit< i don't think I would ever be able to fly it.

Had a go in one of those in Hungary, noisy but fun 8-)
