Shoreham in the sunshine

Postby Hagar » Tue Apr 13, 2010 4:06 am

Spring is here at last! Lovely weather on Saturday so I went over to Shoreham for some much-needed practice with the camera. Here's a few residents & a couple of unusual visitors.

Looks similar to a plane postet here not long ago: don't know if it's correctly spelled or even close but it has affinity to a Routan (?)...

Good morning all... :)

Wonderful shots Doug and that one of the Chippie certainly brought back some fond memories.... ;)

Thanks for posting them and looks like you are off to a fine start again this year.

I was just wondering, do you ever get far enough away to an airshow or airfield where you stay overnight or do you just make a day's drive of it?
Would public transit take you directly to an airfield or not?  Here one needs a private motor vehicle to go to most locations as public transit does not stop at a lot of the local airstrips.

Thanks Doug... :)

With the move this year I know we will not make it over but having talked to a couple of visiting RAF Crews who our son invited to our home for a dinner,  I am starting to think that public transit is the way to go when we get there.

I do not think renting a vehicle at the airport would be the way to go for us now.  I do not think we could do the driving even though we will be limited to where we go by public transit.

There are friends and relatives but I shall take the wait and see approach.  I try not to plan too far ahead as plans have a way of changing.   ;D
