Show and tell, pack cleaning

Postby expat » Sun Apr 11, 2010 5:40 pm

So how do you clean the air-conditioning on a 737? Well a few gallons of water and some hot air.

We back flush the packs with water and use air from the APU to give the water some power to remove any rubbish that has been sucked in. On the whole we find labels and dead flies ;D Anyway this is how it is done.
I only had my mobile the phone for these shots

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
