A few shots from the launch this morning.

Interesting cloud formation after launch.

I got video of the launch itself, but the brightness overloaded the camera, so it's not that good. :-[

I can't think of many better excuses to get up quite so early and stand outside  ;D

I'm enjoying the video  :o

It'd be cool though if they do their final shuttle launch at night, like the final Apollo mission.

They launch at the best chance to get to the station. I don't think they really take symbolic acts into consideration.

Awesome shots. I didn't see this one live unfortunately.

That was a good launch! Specter, do you by chance know the Martin Luther King Jr. Bridge in NSB? Because at the bottom of the bridge, you get a great view.
That cloud thing was so cool! At first it was so pink but after a while it turned orange, definitely worth getting up early for!

I may never get a chance to see a shuttle launch, the one I was supposed to see 15 years ago was scrapped.  Lucky man.

Yep, I was there with a buddy of mine. We got no sleep that night and left West Palm Beach at 3am to get up there in time. We arrived at 6am lol. had a pretty good spot, about 8 miles away though... tickets were naturally sold out!

Night launches are so amazing! I need to get down there for one of the last few launches. I've always wanted to see one in person. I really just want to hear and feel it!
My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.
