Great shots Matt... ;)

Do you think Charlie will miss the front half of his office if you cut it off and move it to my hangar to make a flight simulator out of?   ;D
We just won't tell him thats all.... ;)

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Nice shot of the beaver there Matt... ;D

Doug, some may become available between now an 2014! '807 is the oldest left now on the fleet, so might not have much longer left. :'(

She is on overnight tonight. I was thinking of sneaking onto the ramp with a large trailer and my chainsaw in the early hours ;D ;D

Vickers VC10 (C Mk 1K). Transport (as it is here) or AAR tanker. :)

May I ask what that sort of mini-prop shape is on the last shot?

Firemonte, it's a VC-10

The prop acts like a RAM air turbine, providing power for the refuelling system unless I'm mistaken....

Its a RAT (Ram Air Turbine) - there's a fuel pump behind it, and via some clever technical bits and pieces, essentially it provides the power to trail (extend) and wind in the hoses.

Here's a diagram of the FR Mk32 pod, as fitted to the '10:

Such a beautiful airliner.  :)
Will you fly the A330 tanker once that comes into RAF service?
