The difference a year can make

Last Christmas I was able to get my hands on my first proper camera, the Canon EOS 1000D. Over the course of that year I have taken a few thousand photos, several photo shoots and many scenery photos.

Here is just a quick show of how my photography has improved in general over that year. It's just a bit of fun and some shots come out much better and worse than others.

Originally intended as a HDR test, I kind of like this result as it is.

...And many more years of photography and improvements ahead of me.

Merry Christmas everyone

Used to be a fairly avid photographer myself.

Well I hope to use my camera enough to keep it useful as a camera and not as a doorstop  8-)

I think I'm going to Southport, maybe Cosford and hopefully some racing events (such as Red Bull Air Race) or something at Oulton Park next year, so hopefully there will be plenty of good opportunities to find what I'm good at photographing. I have a photoshoot with my modelling friend next week too!
