Grumpy's tours takes to the briny. A sea trip from Worthing to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight. This is our starting point. Worthing Pier early on Monday morning.


Here's our trusty mode of transport. The good ship PS Waverley. The owners claim she's the only ocean-going paddle steamer in the World.


Passing Portsmouth Harbour on our way to Yarmouth.


A USO (Unidentified Sea Object). Any guesses as to what it is?


On arrival at Yarmouth we board an open-topped tour bus. The stunning view of Alum Bay from the top deck of the bus.


This is the famous Needles.


A wonderful day out was had by all. 8-)

+1....the spray off the waves refracts the light from higher up the ship making it look hull-less....

What a gorgeous steamer    This past year I have developed quite a fondness for watercraft, especially classics.  This one tops my charts so far    And the needles shot grabbed my attention as well.

The USO shot just turns up as a picture of water with a city skyline to me so I couldn't guess what you were talking about.  Probably my browser.
