That's a very scruffy looking gull in #2. What type is it?

Only my opinion but they might look better at a faster shutter speed.

I agree about the shutter speed, I was shooting sunset shots and just turned real quick to snap some gulls.  I appreciate the compliments and criticism though, they are your standard seagull, some younger than others which explains the colors and scruffyness

Wow,   Gotta love ,    Humm!    Thought it was about the sea,  My personal fav is the Pelican.
We have airplanes up on the farm,  Mt Airy ...Md
Clearing for fire wood ,   two foot down ,70 miles from the sea,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, clam and oyster shells,,,,?

In Jersey we call them Flying Rats!!  :) 
A friend of ours was on the boardwalk in Ocean City, NJ and just brought a slice of pizza.  She was walking and taking a bite when a seagull swooped down and snatched the pizza away from her!!

;D  Yeah pigeons are flying rats where I'm from as well.  I'm not positive, but the adults look just like Western Gulls, I can't seem to find anything stating what exact species they are in Michigan.

Thanks Matt, had to add a little life to the pictures, figured black and white would make them a bit more interesting  :)
