The beloved Seagull...the Vultures of the North 

Wow the first one is a great shot.

That's a very scruffy looking gull in #2. What type is it?

Only my opinion but they might look better at a faster shutter speed.

Never seen a gul like that before.

I agree about the shutter speed, I was shooting sunset shots and just turned real quick to snap some gulls.  I appreciate the compliments and criticism though, they are your standard seagull, some younger than others which explains the colors and scruffyness

Wow,   Gotta love ,    Humm!    Thought it was about the sea,  My personal fav is the Pelican.
We have airplanes up on the farm,  Mt Airy ...Md
Clearing for fire wood ,   two foot down ,70 miles from the sea,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, clam and oyster shells,,,,?

In Jersey we call them Flying Rats!!   
A friend of ours was on the boardwalk in Ocean City, NJ and just brought a slice of pizza.  She was walking and taking a bite when a seagull swooped down and snatched the pizza away from her!!

  Yeah pigeons are flying rats where I'm from as well.  I'm not positive, but the adults look just like Western Gulls, I can't seem to find anything stating what exact species they are in Michigan.
