Look who decided to make himself comfortable last night on my back porch last night.

Does anybody know what species it is?

It's about 2 and a half inches long.

::)

It's a garden spider... harmless to humans, but deadly to flies, gnats, and mosquitoes. Don't kill it!!

It might bite you if you mess with it... but garden spiders don't hunt humans- we're just a little too big for them to eat. ;D
