Glider update: June 10th

Today we finally finished the "silver", including a coat on the fiberglass nose bowl and all exposed steel (over a wet coat of epoxy so it would bind to the surface better). The aluminum-imbued coating really highlights the minor flaws, but ol' 94H sure looks grand, I think.
With a couple of coats of glossy white Poly-Tone she will look even better... mostly because she will be done!!! ;D

...except for the shark's mouth on the nose, of course... I can't wait to do that!

The horizontal stab frame got sand-blasted and painted with epoxy today... it will get the same treatment as the fuselage over the next few days. The elevator frame should be returning from the repair shop this week, also... we could very well get all the covering and painting 100% finished before Monday.

Can't wait to see it finished. It seems to have taken no time at all, though I'm sure with you lot working hard you probably disagree.

Good luck finishing it off. The shark mouth will look pretty awesome  ;D

The funny thing is, once all the prep is done, the covering process goes relatively quickly. Seems like no trouble at all.
But we've been at it since February... stripping the old fabric off, removing everything from the frame, fixing, re-fabricating, cleaning, painting dozens of parts... it's a lot of work. Fun work.  ;D

Better than she did a few weeks ago, for sure. :)
