Trip down to London

My sister has decided to go to Los Angeles for 6 months to stay with some friends she knows and that meant taking her to the airport. London Heathrow to be exact, which isn't the closest airport, but we still had some fun whilst we were down there.

The following images were taken on my mobile phone. The quality, suprisingly, isn't too bad - I had expected much worse from my phone. I hope you like them. And there's 2 aircraft in there somewhere as well.

This is the awesome Cyberdog shop in Camden. Been there, definately got the shirt

Thank you. I was really suprised that the Tower shot came out alright because the water was very choppy and we were bouncing all over the place.

Yeah it is a really nice city to go to. I can't wait to go to your side of the lake either! (Hopefully going to LA next year!)

Just don't end up getting lost on the underground - My sister and I got lost and had to wait for an hour for my mum to come and find us. Well worth it in the end though, haha.

The tourist attractions such as The Tower of London, London Eye, the many art galleries and places such as Camden and Vauxhall all have some good things. All in all, a very fun city.

Should have taken a proper camera...lol

But great shots! I recognized some of the photos from flying along the rivers/under bridges in a spitfire in FS... ;D

London is my home city and I haven't seen everything it has to offer yet... but I take it for granted living here.

On a side note, the building to the right of the MI6 building with the "gull wing" roof is St. Georges Wharf and I worked on the construction of it in 1999. Great views from the roof of that place!! It still isn't finished, 10 years later. It's the largest residential construction site in London since the rebuilding after the Second World War. (And it's on the proper side of the river...  ;) )

:)

Yeah the buildings to the right are styled to look like MI6 a bit, which I think is quite cool. Lots of really nice looking parts to the city, too bad there are still a lot of grey and plain buildings sat besides much more intricate ones. Lots of re-developing to go.

The Gherkin building is quite cool. For those who don't know what it looks like, Here is a photo  ;D

And Esselbach, yeah I was considering it but I didn't have many opportunities to actually photograph things. Generally full days and not too much sightseeing. Perhaps next time I go down I will try and get some proper touristy photos. Give it long enough and I might be able to drive/ride down there by myself.
