Just saw someone post this on a photography forum I go to and thought I would spread the info.

Some guy made a tutorial on how to set up a time lapse using a TI-84 graphing calculator and a Canon DSLR. Here's a video example

I was very eager to try this as I have a DSLR and the TI-84, however I was missing a few cables to make it work.

Its unfortunate that it is only for canon.. I suppose it has to do with how the remote shutter jack interprets information?

I just posted this because I thought it was a cool trick, not because I have a thing for Canon, even though I do.  ;)

I wonder if it would work with my TI-89 calculator?

I think so, I would assume that the calculators could run apps that are older then they calculator. The problem (I would assume) comes when you try to use an older calculator that may not have certain abilities that an app may need.

That or maybe the TI-84 is the only one with the correct adapter?  :-?

You can always try!
