The Liberty Belle @ Felts Field (KSFF) - Part 1
Posted: Sun May 10, 2009 2:23 amAfter learning that the EAA's B-17 was not stopping in Spokane this year, I was a little sad. Fortunately, I learned a couple weeks ago that another B-17, the Liberty Belle was coming into town this weekend.
After riding my bike in a memorial ride for a fallen brother, I was driving home when I saw the B-17 climbing out over Spokane. Once home, I grabbed my camera and headed to the airport. If it weren't for a bunch of inconsiderate drivers who insisted on driving BELOW the speed limit and taking their sweet time, I could have photographed it on approach, but I arrived in time to catch it still on the runway instead.
Such a beautifull sight... 8-)
Shhh...its a secret......
When I saw all the modern instruments and a GPS, I was tempted to look at the pilot and call him a cheater, but I bit my tongue....
