Wet & windy

The forecast said torrential rain today so imagine my surprise when I looked out of the window this morning. Bright sunshine & not a cloud in the sky. So much for Mr Fish & his colleagues. :P

It was a tad windy so after breakfast I toddled down to our local beach to see what was going on. This was the scene as I arrived. Lots of people enjoying themselves in & out of the water.

I love watching the kite surfers. The experts make it look so easy which I'm sure it isn't.

I'm rather pleased with how these these backlit shots turned out. They're heavily compressed but who cares? I don't. ;)

Wow those last two are really bright... It hurts my eyes a bit lol.

Fab looking shots. And yeah, eventually the rain came along lol.

What settings did you use for the fourth shot if you don't mind me asking?

Thank you. Glad you like them. ;)

Shutter priority at 1/640 sec & hope for the best. I have no idea what I'm doing. These are the best results I've got so far.

Nice shots. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

What kind of ship is that in the background on the 5th shot? Looks a bit like a 500' ft cargo ship, but it has a lot of equipment on deck... :-/

Sorry, My knowledge of ships is very limited. It had probably just left Shoreham Harbour which is a few miles to the east.

Thanks Doug. The water is not usually that colour. The sand had been stirred up by several days of stormy conditions.

Bad looking water but I guess I'm too used to this 'paradise' water we have here in Florida ;D But yes these are bright. I like them

Thanks. The water is not as bad or filthy as it might appear. It's just sand stirred up by the recent rough weather. I'm sure it's much the same in Florida after a storm.

We get a lot of wind down here which is the reason it's popular with the kite & windsurfers. ;)

We get a lot of wind up here, as well, Doug...

..its all to do with our Hereford Steers adding to the high Methane levels in the Global atmosphere...

...(I also add to it as well, on occasions, after one of my home-made Curries)... :-[...!

Paul... ;D...!

I was wondering who would pick up on that. I should have guessed. :P ;D
