A quick question for Doug....is Lancing college chapel built on a slope....it's just that no matter how hard I tried I couldn't make the verticals and horizontals both look straight :P

Just spotted this. I have the same problem. I doubt it's on a slope or suffered from subsidence as it's built on chalk & the foundations are 20 metres deep. I've spent a lot of time admiring that Chapel over the years. Did you know it's the largest school chapel in the world? It might be a matter of perspective as it's 50 metres high but the buttresses on the eastern end don't look perpendicular to me. The Chapel was never finished as they ran out of funds. An intended 100 metre tall tower at the western end was never built. Now that would have been impressive. :o

PS. Of course, from that viewpoint you're looking at it from an angle.

The shot with the B-17 makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside  :)

Looks like a typical scene where the fighter escorts the straggling bomber back to its base...always keeping a look out for it.

And the taxiing shot   ;D ;D
