47N: impromptu Saturday
Normally the club flies on Sunday, but as of Friday night it was not looking good for that, so Mike, Patsy, Greg, Farzan and I decided to have a go at it yesterday, even though our two instructos were not available. I got in two non-loggable flights with Patsy in the back... second was just a ride, so I could let him fly the whole thing. I did OK- in fact, had Herb been there to sign me off, it would have been a perfect day for me to solo. Wind was light, high clouds.
Whatever- it was fun, and if I do solo before the end of this season, I'll just be starting over next spring anyway.
It was a while before I got back over to my car to get my camera (just had to after I missed a visiting TBM700- d'oh!)... here's Mike slipping over to land after dropping the rope.

Got over on the other side for a different angle... here's Greg bringing in the 2-33 after the last flight of the day.

Some cell phone snaps from my second ride; kinda nice to just play the passenger.

LOL- it wasn't quite freezing on the ground, but at 3000 I was glad I'd brought my neck warmer and "Elmer Fudd" hat...

A good look at the home 'drome.

A few arrivals and departures, shot from the south side of the runway...
