Army JROTC Formal Inspection

Postby Ravang » Wed Nov 19, 2008 8:18 pm

Our JROTC battalion had its formal inspection yesterday, since I am the asst. S5 it was my duty to take pictures (anything beats marching). Of course my boss/best friend the S5 forgot to mention that I had to stand on top of the press box roof, in the cold, and wind...for 2 hours.

The 'brass' of the battalion...from left to right, our high school principal, the XO, and the battalion commander.

The staff...from left to right, the XO, the S1, S2, S3, S4, and my boss/best friend the S5 (wearing the green garrison cap). I'm very proud of her because she just got promoted to Sergent Major after the inspection. (Do to a few in-mature members here I must make to following statement, please don't post any suggestive comments about the S5, because she's like family to me, so keep your comments to yourself...in fact don't even think about it). She was missing a pin off of her jacket, she places little faith in my wheeling and dealing abilities, 5 mins later she had the pin, someone else didn't thought... :P

Our battalion received 986 out of 1000 possible points, we recieved the title honor unit with distraction distinction. ;D

No S6?  Bummer dude!  No Comm, No Bomb!!!  (S6 = Communications...me!)

Ok, on a personal note, great pics, and congrats on your score!!!!  And your "friend aka sister" is pretty!  Good on you for hooking her up with the missing uniform item, but bad on her for not showing up with proper uniform attire, I would of ruined her day if I were there lol, but that's the Sgt in me   :evil

On a professional note, they need to decide what cover (hat) they are going to wear, there's no uniformity, looks kinda sloppy for an inspection
Alienware X51_R2 (thank you wife) Windows 8.1, 6GB Ram, Intel Core i3-4150 CPU @3.50GHz
FSX Acceleration settings on max, no twitches or glitches.

How does a highschool kid in JROTC have so many ribbons?

Combat Action Ribbon - Got in a fight at the bike rack

Good Conduct Ribbon - Was on time for class all semester

Purple Heart - Got whooped at the bike rack

Medal of Honor - stole ma's car while she was asleep, talked the homeless dude into buying beer for him, then took the beer to older friends apartment and shared with all the friends, cops showed up, bailed out a window and ran down a dark alley, escaping and returning home before curfew.

Overseas Ribbon - played on the travel team for football

:D  :P  ;) No offense meant at all in this post, it was posted in good fun and if it bothers you I'll delete it man!  (and if it bothers you, you will never make it in the military lol)

I don't know about the Army's POA, but I had my feet not touching once like that in my first year and I got awarded Masterguns special POA award, 100 push-ups  :P

Another thing I noticed at a competition was how... good the female portion of the AJROTC looked in them DB's. They looked even better at the dance afterwards in whatever they were wearing. I'm sure there fathers wouldn't have approved, but who asked them anyways?

(the real fun at the dance was when I had the pleasure of meeting miss packy, the 40 pound backpack when I wore my fedora into the class room)
