I haven't put these on here before, but as the time seems appropriate (almost 5 years to the day...I know....I'm a few days out

)
These were taken by me in 2003 at the age of 11, with a small canon compact film camera with a fixed lens. It was the only chance I ever got to photograph her in the air, and it's looking like I'll never be able to again.....

It is of course G-BOAF over the Downs on her last ever flight, marking the end of the supersonic passenger traveling era (for now)
These photos have been up on my bedroom wall for 5 years now.....and take pride of place in my collection......

You are very lucky to live in a place where you could witness magic such as that. I got goosebumps looking at these photos after reading the header. Very nice, and very missed.

I was at Heathrow for the final 3 incomings.. and also saw the very last departure, off to Filton.
At the time I didn't even own a digital camera.. :P
One thing I'll never forget about the final departure (apart from the police trying to move on 1000+ people from the Northern perimeter fence.. no chance ;D ) was the weather that day. It was cloudy, raining and miserable. Concorde sat on the runway, for an eternity it seemed, spooled up and took to the skies for the very last time. As she climbed out of Heathrow, the cloud broke.. a very small hole in the clouds, but enough for the sun to shine through. She headed straight for it.. and flew through that gap.
Emotional... most certainly.
There's a video of it on the web somewhere, I'll try and find it.

What a site to see in person!
I had the pleasure back in 1988 to get to see a British Airways Concorde take off and land multiple times in a day. It was at an airshow in San Diego and the Concorde was there giving rides (paid of course) half way to Hawaii and back. It was an awesome site that I will never forget! And the sound.... simply amazing!

Excellent! I had the pleasure of seeing her come into Humberside some years ago, whilst we sat on the roofs of our cars on the approach - she nearly took our heads off with the noise! Thunderous!
I saw her many times coming into Heathrow in the final years as my job at the time took me round and about the various approaches on many a gloomy weekday....and id seen a few of them lined up in the 'concorde' hangar alongside the road (forget its number) past heathrow.
Also been inside the concorde at yeovilton, 002, but yet to go to duxford to see the other. Although its secretly the VC-10 i want to see when i finaly go there

Sometimes the moment is all that's needed to make for an excellent photo... thanks for sharing.
I saw two Concordes while they were still active (or maybe the same one twice): once taxiing at JFK when I was on my way to the Caribbean (captain of our AA flight told us to look for it; very nice of him), and once, when I was living on a boat near Liberty state Park in NJ, I just happened to be outside briefly on a crummy morning when I saw one, ghostlike, slipping through low scud on a very different arrival than usual- almost looked like they were diverting to LGA. Ordinarily I would never, ever see one in flight from that location.
No camera on either occasion... :'(
