Grumpy's Tours takes to the bus. I took advantage of the nice weather & my free bus pass to visit Littlehampton today.

One of the local residents posed nicely for me when I arrived. Horrible birds but they can show us a thing or two about flying.

For a change these were all taken from the western bank of the river. Even old hulks can look picturesque.

I rather liked this colourful little boat.

A shot from the dunes on the beach looking north across the golf course where a lot of old fogies like me spend their spare time. Personally I never saw the attraction but they probably think the same about what I do. The blue cylindrical object is a gasometer that can be seen from miles around. I don't think it's used for storing gas (natural gas, not petrol) any more as I've never seen it move.

The brightly coloured buildings across the river are part of the award-winning development that has transformed the waterfront. Most of them are flats. I wouldn't mind one of them myself. I can think of a lot worse places to live.

Ah well, I've reached the limit so that's it for now.

Low tide always looks so depressing, yet intriguing at the same time.

Nice snaps, Douglas. :)

These pictures are amazing.
They look like the ones Microsoft Windows comes with as a desktop backround.

I love them all :)

Wonderful shots Doug... :)

I agree with you, think we could live in one of those flats as well, location looks wonderful.   ;)

Do they not clean those hulks up?

I thought there might be a government department like the Ministry of the Environment who would remove a hulk like that.

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Thanks for the nice comments. Glad you like 'em. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

you always seem to find the good weather,

We get more than our fair share of good weather on the South Coast. That's one reason I choose to live here. 8-)

They're luxury flats but you might find it a bit cramped after what you're used to.

Not sure of the regulations on that score. This side of the river is still undeveloped with a lot of small boatyards & suchlike. It all comes under control of the Harbour Board. http://www.littlehampton.org.uk/

I think it's best where it is. Gives the place its character. :)
