Thrust reverse

Been a while since I did any show and tell. Today I had to remove an thrust reverser to replace a carrier bearing. Here are a couple of pictures I took on the way.

Sweet! That is one clean hangar! Nice shots although i have no idea what im looking at, any simple pointers i can use for google? :)

You are looking at one half of the thrust reverse "C" section. This YouTube video shows the Translation sleeve moving. The fan air is then directed out of the cascades, the black areas that are visible when the sleeve is driven back. They look like huge cheese graters ;D They direct the air in various directions around the sides of the engine. Inside as the sleeve drives back, blocker doors raise up to stop the air from exiting out of the "C" section (bypass exhaust).....That is the short layman version :D

crystal clear photos with a cool lighting to them, I like it...PLUS it's your job haha!!!  Lucky bas...I mean lucky guy!!!!
