Was expecting the arrival of this today. I knew it was coming because I know the owner. Went out to the plane and said hello to him, only to find out that the pilot that originally brought me out to the plane had moved on to other things. They said they wern't logging enugh hours to keep 3 pilots, and he was the one that had been there the least amount of time. Oh well. The other pilot that hadn't met us said hi, but the captain didn't even say anything, and he has met me before.

Anybody? Part 2 is coming.

Looks like they made a tactical approach into the airport. I see the Air Force doing that all the time here.

LOL Southwest seems to do those approaches all the time! At least about 80% of the time ive been on board.

Any idea at all what was the pilot's beef? Maybe the quick landin' made him want to seek the WC in a hurry...

As for the pilots landing intentions: As far as I can tell, this is a very high performance aircraft, which has very skilled pilots. He was telling me how he built his own plane and flies it. The other planes were landing like that as well, but were taking a much longer final approach.

Other way around. I've seen it every year for the past 9 or so years. That is why I put it in the repaint or wanted section, where ever it was.

I remember I wanted that livery also. Its a great looking airplane  ;)

I went to KPBI to spot, parked my car next to an old, closed up restaurant where no one parks now.... 20 minutes later the cops were there telling me to leave and go to the spotting area.... There is no spotting area...
