If I could afford it, I'd just buy the US version. It's roughly half the price of the UK one and even with the likely import tax it's still going to be a huge amount cheaper. Enough to be able to afford a half decent lense to go with it. Did it with my 300D and never caused any problems.

That doesn't impress me. I think they should make up their minds whether it's a serious camera or camcorder.

PS. Note the UK price. Almost the same in pounds as it is in dollars which means we pay nearly twice as much for the same product. As Craig points out it's a complete rip-off.

All I can say is... droool... and where can I buy a winning lottery ticket?  ;D

If I could only have that. I really want to shoot stuff in 1080 and just look at the megapixels.
