Peregrines
Been going through some photos I've taken this year. These were taken in June. Not sure why I didn't post them at the time.
This is Chichester Cathedral. A pair of Peregrine Falcons has been nesting in one of the towers on the spire for several years now.
They return every year to breed & raise their chicks. The RSPB has a webcam up there with a spotting centre set up in the grounds.
They had four chicks this year & on the day I visited they had been learning to fly for only a few days.

The nesting box is in the corner tower in the foreground. You can see the camera cable if you look carefully. There are also two Peregrine Falcons in the photo. Bet you can't spot them.

How about now? The lower one is the male adult with one of the four chicks sitting above.

Here's two of the chicks learning the art of flying. They're getting quite good at it already.

Probably the best shot I got all day happened by pure accident. I was focussed on the one on the left & the other one flew into frame just as I pressed the shutter.

Isn't nature wonderful? The birds have long since departed but I shall return next year in the hope of getting some better photos.
