Got so comfy I forgot about the missing-man formation! I heard them going overhead, and dashed out just in time to get this snap... d'oh.
The Yak flew the "missing man" role, climbing out of formation, then coming back over the field to do a few rolls. I believe it then joined up with the 172 to make the ash drop over in Watchung.

Not sure if this 47N-based 150 was part of the formation, but it sure looked great coming in for a nice short-field touchdown on 25. The pilot is making the most of the sloping displaced area to land right on the threshold.
