One  of my favorite GA bird's, I dont much care for the livery on the FAA craft, but the Commander sits pretty high up on my favorite GA list, I have only seen two in my lifetime, they are beautiful!  Thanks for sharing!

Th 680 is a rare bird, I see Central Air Southwest Commander 500B and S's all the time.  I believe the 680 has a geared turbo or supercharger combination, making the engines very unreliable.  However many things on the airframe were designed quite smartly.  The brakes run off of the hydralic system like a car, the fuel tanks are all interconnected making fuel transfers a 'no problem', the tail was also designed to be very large in order to counteract p-factor in the event of an engine failure.

Nice. I always liked the Aero Commander. Don't see many around here these days.
