Tuesday afternoon at 47N-part 2
Finally got up in the glider... a crystal-clear day, but some surprisingly strong "invisible" convection. On the first flight, we cleared 4500 feet, and worked the lift upwind all the way out to Solberg.

I'm coming along pretty well; starting to get a good grip on flying on tow, entering the pattern and landing... but for some reason I forgot to call out "200 feet!" on both tows Tuesday, and got whacked in the head for my trouble...

Between tows, I took a breather while Herb took a potential member up for an intro flight. Andy is learning to tow; he's in the Citabria with john in back keeping an eye on him. He did OK, I thought... I was his first tow, and didn't know quite what to expect.

And away they go... could be a while; what to do while I'm waiting...?

Next: Champing for a ride!
