Spirits dashed

Postby Mictheslik » Wed Aug 13, 2008 1:30 pm

Headed to Fairford to see a certain black thing, but were left disappointed......After waiting patiently in the rain, hearing engines being run up at 2 o clock we were all excited.....only to hear on the scanner something along the lines of 'give us two hours we've got a plan', and the mission was scrubbed. Still, we managed to get round and catch nebraska being wheeled back into the hangar.....and left for Brize. Having spent an hour at Brize with only the ILS clibration king air making any sort of movement, we headed back to Fairford. The hangar door was still shut and we assumed that there was to be no flying......fortunately we did catch Arizona in a hangar on the other side of the field, with a lot of people around her. Now, I return to find that Nebraska did get up after all......about 45 minutes after we left   >:( >:( ;D ;D

Oh well, there's always a next time

anyway....the pics.....;)

And there's the answer to all the alleged UFO sightings over that part of the UK which certain tabloid newspapers insist on printing every day... ::)  ::)

;D

Some people see what they want to see even when the simple truth is staring them in the face. These people also tend to have a very rich imagination. I'm afraid nothing will ever convince them that they saw a rare & very real piece of aviation history. ::)
