I think that's what it's called, anyways, I'm talking about the copyright or signature that I see on some of the pictures posted here, is there a certain program that you use to do that or is it just photoshop?

The one thing about putting a copyright or water mark, it can be removed just by resizing and cutting a picture. I also use Stenography to hide a copyright message in the picture in written form. Even when the picture is cut and resized, the information is still in the picture. There are some freeware programs. You will have to google it, I am at work at the moment.

I'm not convinced it's worthwhile unless you know what you're doing. The usual text in the corner of an image is easily removed. The best method might be to put a big watermark right across an important part of the photos but in that case it's hardly worth posting them. I've read that there's software available to remove most types of watermark so anyone seriously interested in stealing photos would be quite capable of doing that if they really wanted to. Anyone is welcome to use the photos I post here if they wish. They're compressed too much to be of any real value. As with anything on the Internet, if it really matters that much to you don't post it in the first place.
