hi all,
having come into a little bit of money lately i've been looking at getting a couple of add-on bits for the camera i've got, and have been looking at some items like these below:
1.4x telephoto and 0.57 wide lense
Tele Conversion Lens
Filter UV CPL Hood

i know it may not seem like much but i was kind of swaying towards the telephoto/wide lense and the uv hood... which ones out of the few i've linked to would anyone reccomend getting (my budget is

My 2 cents? Don't bother buying these.

They may promis much and are cheap, but they rarely offer good imagequality. In fact, you are placing another lense in front of the original lens, which may cause flare, reduced aperature, softness, etc.

If you really want to take a step in imagequality, save some more and be on the lookout for an entry-level dSLR, or look for a decent second hand model. Nikon d40's Canon 350D's, etc sell really cheap nowadays. Just be patient and save a bit more.

If you do want to purchase any of these items, try them in a store or search reviews. Know what you buy...

Kris is probably correct but I know my old mate Woodlouse was very pleased with his wide-angle lens. Took some nice photos with it. I believe he had the Fuji S5600.

Roger (HawkerTempest) uses the telephoto converter for the same camera.
