Not the biggest or best but still worth the drive to see some gorgeous aircraft. Forgive the quality my camcorders digicam is pretty weak but the video is amazing.

1st shot is of the wyoming air national guards c130 with experimental props. The pilot says this is the only c130 in service with these props. He said on current C130s if a blade breaks the whole prop must be removed and replaced, with these they can replace individual blades and the props are self balancing. He also said the increase in performance and sound reduction is amazing.

2nd shot is a closer look at these props.

3rd shot is my kids hanging out next to the main gear of a New York Air Guard C5 Galaxy.

4th Shot is of the beautiful Hawker Sea Fury owned by Joe Tibedeaux. This beauty did a long demo and is one of the most incredible sounding machines I have heard. Not to bad to look at either.

First pic looks like a souped up C130J

It would have looked and sounded even nicer with its original engine - then again, who can blame civvy owners (particularly in America) putting PWs in with them when we see the problems the Centaurus has nowadays.

So that is NOT a C-130J?

What is it then?

AC-130? KC-130???

I'm confused.

Nice shots though.

I think the C130J props are 6 bladed, not 8.

It's still a C-130H model. I heard that it's part of Operation Deep Freeze in Antarctica. So the four extra blades per turbine will probably result in greater performance on ice and snow-covered runways.

It is an H model but both inside and out you can see all the experimental instrumentation, cameras, pitots, all sorts of stuff to monitor the performance of this machine, the pilot did say this was a one of kind testbed. As far as the sea fury goes I have heard that this example is all original but could have heard wrong.
