Sold My First Photo!
Posted: Thu Jul 17, 2008 9:04 pmQuite by chance, a lady was at the airport dropping her husband off to go fly his plane, and she saw me taking pictures. A week later she called the airport asking who it was with the long camera lens and of course my name popped up. She asked me for an 11X14 print for her husbands birthday, so I downloaded a trial version of photoshop played with the dodge tool and sent it in to be printed at Douglas Photographic Imaging in town.
Not my best, however it is a start. I only charged her $55 (a steal if you look at some pros shots) mostly because I always told myself that the first person to purchase a print of mine will get a good deal in order to get my name out there.
