Mobile phone camera review sites?

I am looking to purchase a new mobile phone soon... and one of the key aspects I am looking for is a decent camera. My current phone is a Nokia 3120 or something terrible, so I thought I would spend some money on something a bit newer and a bit better.

I am reading some reviews of possible phones (Samsung U600, Nokia 6300 etc) but many of the reviews are having a go at, or complimenting the cameras on various phones.

Is there a website where it actually gives you images taken of mobile phones such as these? Anywhere that I can actually see the quality of the image before I spend my money? It seems a bit wierd to take reviews on something such as this without any visual proof.

So are there any mobile phone camera review sites with actual camera images?

I appreciate phone cameras are not the best, but I do have one main digital camera for any important photos I need... but something of decent quality for other things (or where I cant find the camera) would be nice to have. I am thinking of getting a properly decent camera for Christmas too... but still I would like photos to actually look slightly alright from my new phone.

Cheers

i do not know of a website that gives actual exapmples of photos taken with phones, but i have the LG Voyager and it has a 2.0 megapixel camera. im very pleased with the quality of it for a phone. but the only thing it lacks is a flash, and zoom. but it has a great auto focus.  ;) other than that its a fun phone to play around with because of the touch screen and the fact that there is a GPS Navigator and the Internet Browser of course.  :D

I got the N73 (3.2 MPix Cam; example-photo here - last post). I'm very satisfied with it: the pics are comparable to the K800i and it's price should be affordable atm, what I like is the Office-Pack included wich allows you to view *.doc, *.pdf, *.xlm and *.ppt (also the Office 07 versions)... Just a little inducement

The only problem with that CNet site is that all the phones are atleast double what I would be hoping to pay. I don't want the best camera phones, just a phone with a decent enough camera to be worth it.

That link for the N73 seems to be broken, or atleast I cant load it.

Noone does have the Nokia 6300 on SimV do they?

I have the Nokia N95 8Gb, 5.0 megapixels.

Whilst it doesn't compare to even a compact digicam it's more than adequate for the "snapshot" that happens once in a while when you don't have anything else to hand.

Unless you're on a contract with a free upgrade option don't go anywhere near it, it costs about

I tried it again, seemed to be slow loading. Looks like a pretty good image too.

One issue I have with the Sony Ericssons (and aside from this I hear they are very good) is that I really dislike their GUI. I have been used to the controls of Nokias for many many years. I remember asking some tech friends if they knew of software which replicates Nokia onto Sony Ericsson but it seems this does not exist.

It isn't out of the question, but my problems with the usability is going to make a mark on the brand I think.

I was faced with the same decision when my faithful little Fuji digicam died a few months ago. I needed a mobile phone so combining the two seemed like a good idea. After looking at what was available in my price range I changed my mind & got a cheap Nokia phone & replaced the digicam. This probably won't suit you technophiles but all I want a mobile phone for is to use as a phone in emergencies. At 8.3 MP the digicam is a higher spec than my DSLR & it's small enough to fit in my shirt pocket.

My previous phones have been emergency phones, but as time has gone on I too have developed more needs for it. My current phone is so outdated it is embarrasing (I removed the case to remove some of the visual shame and it works quite well, but it is still ghastly)

You don't use a phone as a camera, you don't call your friends with a camera and you don't make movies with a digital photocamera...

There are 3 handy products, known as:

a phone... used to ring or text people

a photocamera... used to make photo's

a camcorder... used to make movies

Every combination of either type of product will be mediocre at best.

But I stand behind what I stated.
